Personnel traveling to Baja may either drive or fly. If rush-hour traffic is avoided, driving from Los Angeles to Baja Studios takes approximately three hours. For information on what to expect at the border and on items that can be brought into México, see section on Crossing the Border. Depending on the traffic and the wait at the border, the drive time from the San Diego Airport to Baja Studios is approximately 35-55 minutes.
At the present time, those flying in from anywhere in the U.S. needs to fly into San Diego, as there are no direct flights to Tijuana from the U.S. Those arriving in San Diego are generally met by production drivers or rent cars at the airport from one of the rental companies that allow their vehicles to be driven into México.

Limousine Service is available from Tropical Illusions, which is based out of the San Diego area. They have a fleet of 15-passenger maxi vans, limos and stretch limos and operate throughout California and Baja. Their prices are reasonable, and they are good about negotiating long-term or group rates. The contact at Tropical Illusions is: Jim Mincoff at: 1 (888) 411 5466 or 1 (619) 439 6199.

Helicopter Flights to Baja Studios are possible with the proper permit issued by the Federal Direction of Aeronautics in México City. A request for permission to land at the Baja Studios heliport may be obtained through your helicopter service or by contacting Ivor Shier at Corporate Helicopters 1 (858) 505 5650 office 1 (619) 843 3201 mobile or visit their web page: www.corporatehelicopters.com. Chartered Flights from the U.S. cannot fly directly into Tijuana Airport. They must first stop at Brown Field (on the U.S. side, near the border) to clear customs. Permits must be obtained in advance in order for the flight to continue to Tijuana. Once again Ivor Shier can coordinate charters and permits for all types of aircraft.
