Contacting Border Offcials
Before you begin crossing commercial goods, it is important to contact (in writing) both U.S. and Mexican Customs. The letter should be written by whoever is going to be your main contact with regard to the border. In this letter, you will introduce yourself and your company. State the name of your film, the dates you will be operating in Baja, when you will start crossing trucks, an estimated number of trucks you anticipate crossing, and who your brokers are (on both sides of the border).
The two letters should be addressed to:
