Driving across the border:
Traveling south on either Interstate Highway 5 or 805, you arrive at the San Ysidro crossing 15 miles south of San Diego. At the international border, you will drive through a gate that has a small red and green traffic light on your left. Wait for the light. If it turns red you must pull forward and stop on the right at the traffic cones. Mexican Customs agents will ask where you are going and what are you bringing across the border. If it turns green simply proceed on your way. It is not a good idea to cross the border with commercial goods in your car; personal items such as laptop computers and cameras are ok.

Driving from the border to Baja Studios:
From the border move to the right lane as you drive up over the bridge. The exit to Rosarito is less then 1/4 mile from the border and comes up quickly on the right as you are crossing over the bridge. Follow the signs to “Rosarito - Ensenada Scenic Route” and “Ensenada Cuota”, this road heads west to the coast then curves south on the toll road, Highway 1D. Before Rosarito there is one toll booth at Playas de Tijuana; the toll fee fluctuates with currency rates. Currently it is about $2.25US. Both U.S. and Mexican currencies are accepted. Pass the tollbooth and continue south on Highway 1D. There are four exits into Rosarito from Highway 1D, located at 18, 19, 20 and 21 miles south of the border. Take the 5th. Exit to the coast road towards “Popotla, Calafia, Las Rocas” Baja Studios is located 3 miles south of the exit on the coast road.
